Display back lighting is on, when usb connected. 5G

I've recently upgraded apple firmware, and had to reinstall rockbox.

After this when i connect ipod to computer, it shows 'Do not disconnect' message
and everything works fine, but ipod display back lighting is on, though at the very minimal brightness.

Anyway, before i updated the firmware display back lighting was always off.

This is part of the apple firmware.  It has nothing at all to do with Rockbox.  The "Do not disconnect" screen is put on there by code that Apple wrote, not us.

And I'm using "us" in a fairly broad sense, as I've never written a line of Rockbox code :D
