Latest CVS version crashes after 2 seconds
« on: September 26, 2006, 11:27:38 PM »
I got the latest CVS version (27 Sep 01:13).

After playing a file for 2 seconds, it freezes. Pressing the play button doesn't work and neither does the stop button. I have to do a manual (small button) restart every time.

It's happened 3 times now.

All of these have been MP3s.

May I suggest that you tell us what player you have, and whether you reset your settings?

I am using the iHP120 and I have not reset my settings explicitly.

Before copying over the new .rockbox folder, I deleted the old one.

Should I go and reset settings specifically?

You should try resetting them, yes.

I reset the settings and it seems to work without a hitch for now.

Thanks!

I'll post back if it crashes again.

I've been listening to a whole lot of music and it happened again today.

It hasn't happened since last night or this morning, but it randomly froze at 2 seconds again.

I was listening to an MP3 file when it froze and it was playing another MP3 right before that.

Again, this is an iRiver iHP-120.

Try playing that same mp3 again to see if it is that particular song that is causing the crash.
