Oh snap, Rockboy finally is usable!
« on: September 26, 2006, 07:40:55 PM »
Yup, thanks to that "touchy" patch, it's all good with even Pokemon!  ;D

One problem though, guys...after you exit Rockboy, you probably need to restart Rockbox, because when you exit, you can't scroll anymore.  Only the "pushy" buttons are usuable.

Yup yup, that's about it.  Thanks to the developers who took the time to make the emulator usable!

Can you link which patch in specific you are talking about? I think I have an idea but I'm having trouble figuring out how to install it.

This post doesn't say *anything* about it being laggy or not. It's referring to the fact that the button mappings were horrible on the iPod, and there wasn't really a way to set up good ones without a patch.

rockboy isnt compitable with the nano until someone decides to work on the scaling issue.
but you should try iboy over @ iPodlinux.
games are at full speed with sound and can play both gameboy and gameboy color games. ;)
the button mappings are much better to.

iPL, IMHO, totally sucks.  Not worth even a miniscule amount off effort to install it.  lol In fact, they make "dead pixels" on their own icons in the iPod look-alike menu!

Anyway, the patch to re-enable control over Rockbox after you exit Rockboy is complete today, so all we need is a FPS increase!  ;D

For me, audio comes first.

That's where Rockbox comes in.

anyone else have the problem where the ipod will spontaneously turn off if you haven't saved for a while?
