@r3dlink13

i think i know what your problem is. Go to your General Settings in rockbox and turn "Idle poweroff" to off. (this is because you don't PRESS any buttons when using rockboy)

wow. too simple to be true, but it sound about right. I'll give it a try. Thank you so much for your help, i was beginning to get sick of saving every 5 minutes for fear of losing my game.

oh, and also, does anyone know of a good forum or page that frequently updates with the current rockboy status? It appears as if the rockby stratus page under the plugins index hasn't been updated in awhile (or it at least doesn't include the major clickwheel change so who knows what else is missing).

Edited to merge it and following post.

The Wiki is exactly that, a wiki. If you notice something out of date, please update it.

Also, please use the edit button instead of posting twice in a row.

Wow... I can't believe I didn't realize that this was the problem- I thought something was buggy when mine kept resetting. Would a patch be possible to disable the idle poweroff while using Rockboy? (Unfortunately my own progging experience extends to about Hello World)

You can change/disable idle poweroff yourself in the settings...

A simple solution would be to create a config file that just disables it, and a config file that just enables it, and tap those before running or after exiting Rockboy

Obviously. It's just a convenience issue.

ok, you know how when using rockboy it doesnt let you scroll when you hit the hold button, when that pops up turn hold off and hit the center button on the ipod, then you can scroll again!
