ye thanks bascule i did that and it worked out but i still have untagged songs. I dont know why there untagged but they seem to be.

If you add the "tags" in iTunes, many times they won't be written to the file, only the iTunes database.

nugget:
I noticed sometimes in itunes it showed the file name but when i played the song it changed automatically to the tagged name. That might have been it. Thanks for all your help, keep up the good work.
