Stuning nano
« on: September 25, 2006, 12:59:15 AM »
Somewhere after the 2006-09-16 daily build my nano starts working little slower and stuns sometimes, and when changeing volume too.
What might be the problem ?

On the 16th of september, a new scheduler was added to rockbox. This prioritizes playback  over the user interface, to not experience stuttering sound. That is why you experience the user interface as slower than before.

I think it is possible to tune the priorities to better suit the ipods. The person that implemented the new scheduler doesn't own an ipod, so i think he will need assistance when doing that. But I am quite certain that this navigation will be better sometime (soon?).

Once multicore support is added for the ipods, this problem would go away anyway.
