Regarding RockDoom
« on: September 23, 2006, 01:00:14 PM »
I recently got a iPod video, and Rockbox'd it. This is my first time modifying firmware, and I can say it's hella confusing.

As the Doom manual said, I made a folder on my iPod called games and then inside that, I put a folder called doom. I inserted the .wad files into the directory and booted up Rockbox. When I browse to the folder it gives me 2 wad files... when I select rockdoom.wad it gives me a lot of options like "playlist, execute, etc."... what am I supposed to to to run it?

I have iTunes 7 with 1.2 - does that have something to do with it?

Thanks in advance.

If you run the LCD brightness patch, you have to set it to full on (15 i think) before running Doom.

Yea, If you turn it lower than 15, then the game will run,but in a few seconds the backlight will turn off.
to turn the backlight on, you will have to reset (menu+select) of change the brightness again.
