rtyui333:
how can I fix it??

It's ok when i make a playlist on computer but i get reading error when I make a playlist on RB

Llorean:
Could you try to actually describe more clearly what your problem is. "Reading error" doesn't say much, or tell us if you get an actual error message.

As well, are you saying that playlists created in Rockbox can't be read by the official firmware? Because if so, that sounds more like some sort of limitation of the retail firmware...

rtyui333:
sorry if you didn't understand I'm not good at english

the problem happens when I read playlist on iriver firmware(h300)

it says reading error when i open up playlists which are made on RB

not just few but all

all the other ones are fine when i make playist with winamp

My songs are Korean (few of them not in unifont but i dont think that is the problem since it didnt work with english playlist) or English
I use KOSH's experimental build
Korean iriver FW 1.29

and thanks for quick reply ^^

Llorean:
KOSH's build is Unsupported and Unofficial. Do not report problems unless you've tested it with an official Rockbox build.

Have you checked the playlist files that Rockbox creates though, and compared them to winamp playlists of the same songs? Do they have the same encoding?

bluebrother:
If you have non-ASCII characters in your filenames you'll run into problems as Rockbox stores playlists in utf8 encoding. Windows (and AFAIK the OF) uses a local encoding (in europe, for example, it's latin9). So all those characters will be "messed up" and thus not play. Also, Rockbox uses a "/" as directory delimiter (which is standard in the unix world) rather than this stupid "\" windows uses. The iriver OF uses the windows' "\" and it thus incompatible. Please read the documentation for the plugin "iriverify".

Also, as Llorean said, experimental builds are unsupported. Try reproducing the problem with an official build. If it still persists please post one of those playlists and provide more detailed information.
