How about a Graphing Calculator emulator

<< < (2/4) > >>

Noxneo:
Yeah, and I don't think it would be readable on player with smalls screens, such as the nano  ;D

VietPho:
What a dumb idea -.-
Graphing calculators have so many keys and functions.

scorche:
It isn't a dumb idea.  There are times when this would be useful.  I know that there have been times that I wish I had brought my trusty TI places.  Luckily for me, I have a Treo.  However, it is quite a valid idea on an mp3 player (for some people...I like my DAP to play music  :o) provided that it is implemented correctly.  It would take quite some skill to implement it on an Archos device, or even the nano, but it can be done.

As I said before, it wouldn't come near the ability of a dedicated device, but basic functionality can be done and not be considered "dumb".  That aside, besides the shock reaction from the teacher (only useful the first time really), pulling your ipod out in class and using that instead *is* a dumb idea and would only hinder your learning and capabilities.

Flid:
If the main purpose was to dupe your teacher... why not just save some pics on to your DAP, keep them in (for fast access) and load the JPGs when needed. A quick google will give you somewhere to start...

Or... you could be really clever, and write a WPS that use a graph as background and scroll song info along the bottom.

BaseEight:
I think this would be a cool idea, I was just looking for a graphing calculator app for either rockbox or ipod linux.  I think it would be pretty handy since I don't need a graphing calculator much but it would be handy at times.  I notice this thread hasn't been posted in for a long time, has anything like this been developed?
