support for Apple's second generation iPod nano's?

has anyone tried already if the second generation (*) iPod nano's will work with Rockbox?

(*) i.e.: the aluminium ones that were introduced by Apple on 12.09.2006

Yes. They are not supported. There is a thread about them in the New Ports section.
