He is my first attempt at profiling.
I do not in any way really know what I am doing or what these results mean other than the obvious.

I played the six test M4A files from: http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/CodecPerformanceComparison

Well, I'm not sure about everyone else, but my iTunes AAC files, DRM stripped by Hymn (before an ITunes upgrade awhile ago) now play perfectly on my H140!!!

As soon as a week ago, they were not playing.  Before it would skip as the processor couldn't keep up, and then a week ago it would choke on the metadata - but now it works perfectly!  I'm guessing the final straw was the metadata fix in the daily build of Oct 12th by Magnus.

This has been the feature I have waited forever for and I love it!  Now I can share files with my girlfriend who has an iPod.

Thanks to everyone for all the work so far - not just for this, but also in making Rockbox everything that it is.  My H140's original firmware was horrific, and with Rockbox - it's everything I could ask for.  Well done.

Hey, if you have the time and the inclination maybe you could use your GFs iPod to run the test on the wiki page. We don;t have any iPod data.

BTW: the patch for debuc_menu.c is broken, don't bother with that. Just use a regular build.

Sorry for the horrible necro of this thread, but I figured I should update on my problem of my iTunes purchases with DRM stripped via QTFairUse not playing. Well, I upgraded Rockbox for the first time in months (probably when I last posted in this thread) and they all work now! :) :)

Thanks guys. Keep up the good work, it is appreciated greatly!
