newbie trying to edit
« on: September 20, 2006, 01:14:40 PM »
im trying to edit the frostbox (w/ album art) wps to include next song artist info. what i tried was changing
Code: [Select]
%s%m|138|318|%ar%?It<%It|>
to
Code: [Select]
%s%m|138|318|%ar%?Ia<%Ia|> - %?It<%It|>
and to
Code: [Select]
%s%m|138|318|%ar%Ia - %It|
attempting to make it display "Artist - Title" but it kept on displaying only title. not really sure how much of it works so if someone could help me out that'd be nice. i saw the timer function which might also be a consideration.
also i realized when i changed these that it broke the scrolling line. and when i put the original back, the scrolling seems to not work. :-(

thanks for any help.

try to have a look in the manual, especially the appendix. For the tags added by patches you'll still have to look on the net ... Also, make sure you have properly tagged files ;-)

didnt realize i had to clear settings. problem solved. thanks. although: the manual doesnt specify what "%m" is and what the "|" are. and for example what are the numbers in this case? do the numbers and the m show the column through which the text can scroll?

%m is for the margins. you need to have a patch applied to be able to use it.

That tags are added by a patch. Patched builds (there are also so-called "experimental" builds around) are not supported, so you need to search the description of the patched build you are using.
I'd suggest starting with an official build.
