How exactly do I destroy the bootloader off of my 5G...

(1/1)

whelp22:
I love Rockbox, but before using it again I want a clean slate. I recently revived my Pod from dead by finally finding a way to get it to disk mode while plugging it in, relentless of the bootloader loading and my partition being corrupted. But now I need to find a way to destroy the bootloader and to set my iPod back to factory... Does the iPod Update Tool reset it? Last time I tried that it yelled at me and told me to use iTunes 7 and with iTunes 7 not working on Windows at the moment I'm not sure what to do. Any ideas?

Llorean:
The iPod Update tool is the only way to restore the iPod to "factory" settings.

To remove the Rockbox bootloader, just follow the uninstall instructions on the same page that has the installation instructions. They're probably even in the manual as well.
