Doom addons for 5g iPod HELP!

I have a 5g ipod. I have rockbox. Doom is working. The only problem that i have is that i can't seem to get the addons to work. They show up in the addons menu but can't boot. The tut i followed was the one supported by rockbox in the wiki. Can anyone help me or give me a link.

I scrolls really fast and then shuts down. I've read that the freeware doom is the problem. Is it?

"Freedoom" can work with many/most addons. Is that what you mean by "freeware Doom" or are you using the Doom episode 1 *shareware*?

Shareware Doom does not support any addons. Period.

soooo. how can i get the addons! I own the original doom if that is in question.

Then use the wad file from the original doom as your base wad, rather than the shareware one.

Where do i get that. I meant by that i own the original doom, the orignal pc version. Where do i get the original doom .wad. A link would be appreciated.

It's part of the PC version. Install it, and look in the files it has.

Another step in the right direction. !  Those work and are fun, but the addons don't work. I have the collectors addition so i also have doom2 and Final doom. For addons, I have Final Fantasy 3, Duke Nukem, Half life, Quake, and Starwars. When the addons initiate something goes wrong. It says This wad does not follow standard doom graphics, they all do this except ff3 because that one tells me it is missing texture files, alot of them. I tried w/ all versions of doom. I got all the addons from "GP32". Rockbox doesn't support these. Do you know whats wrong or where i can get working addons? Did i mention i appreciate this A TON!

They won't work because they *are* non-compliant. Get them from any webpage that has Doom wads that work on the real version of Doom, or on the prboom source port. The GP32 was a handheld system, and most Doom wads for it will not work with Rockbox's Doom because they're usually made with an invalidly sized title screen that can actually cause crashes and weird errors.

WOO HOO! I found some that work. http://www.doomwadstation.com/main/tc.html is a great site. I went to the total conversion page and got tons. I couldn't get the Quake or the Final Fantasy ones to work but I'm cool with what i do have. I got the nintendo one,  the Golden Eye one, and The Half-Life one, and a few others. Totally psyched. Thanks a million for your help!
