Linux G5 Video Installation "do not disconnect"...

(1/1)

ephman:
hi,

i believe installed the application properly.  everything went sort of smooth, except when i have the ipod plugged in to the USB cable i get a message that says "do not disconnect".  when i disconnect the cable the unit reboots into rockbox, but when i put the cable back in again it tells me that message.  is that normal?

also, what program or how do i import my music in?  i know a pretty basic question but i just got my first ipod...

thanks,
ephman

L:
I believe you are at the wrong place. ROCKbox is not a linux application.

ephman:
you're right however i installed it from source under linux.

thanks,
ephman

Febs:
Yes, that message is normal.  It simply means that you need to unmount the iPod before disconnecting.

L:
My bad.

To import songs, all you need to do is to put your songs into the Ipod like a normal usb device. There is no need for a 3rd party program.

You can then navigate to the song file through ROCKbox.
