iPod Doesn't Shutdown

(1/1)

dmoney101:
I just installed rockbox on my iPod nano and everything seemed like it worked, but the thing won't shutdown any more. I've let it sit for 30 minutes twice (first without the headphones, then with them) and nothing happens. It just goes into standby mode and Rockbox can't load. I tried holding pause for 3 seconds and it just put it in standby. Now I'm wasting my batter by having to leave it on.

scorche:
Is it able to be reset? (hold Menu + Select)

Llorean:
Rockbox doesn have a standby mode.

The Apple firmware has always taken much longer than simply thirty minutes to go from sleeping to shut off, and Play/Pause doesn't shut the Apple firmware down and never has, as far as I'm aware.

This fact causes more battery consumption on start?

Which advantages or disadvantages of a non standby mode?

Thanx
