We haven't written any yet!

The equalizer section of the manual needs some work generally.  It's on my to-do list.

While the Manual is used in installation, it isn't strictly an installation topic.

"Using the Hardware EQ" would be either user interface or playback, depending on your mood (that one's a bit fuzzy) but I'm gonna say that questions about what is or isn't yet in the manual go in Gen Discussion.

If I posted in the wrong place, sorry :(

The manufacturer specific areas (Apple, Cowon, iRiver, Archos) are really _only_ for installation/removal questions.

Not a problem. I guess you can understand why I put it in the iPod forum, it is the only one with the hardware eq, I think.

Do we know if the iPod firmware on the 5G uses the hardware eq, or if it is the same software version used for the other iPods?

Is the ipod EQ really hardware? I thought it was just software based. Given the lousy EQ on the original ipod firmware I find it highly unlikely that they would have dedicated any hardware to it.

Only the 5G has the Wolfson chip which has an onboard hardware EQ.

Where do you see documentation in that Head-Fi thread?  There is a brief explanation in my post here but I wouldn't call that documentation.

I would love a pm when you do this Febs.

Look forward to it :)

Shouldn't it be treated essentially the same as the software EQ, just with less options?

Yes, but I need to update the software EQ part of the manual as well.
