iPod 2g mini: can't run Rockbox with Loader 2 (was: WTF is with my ipod!!?!)

I installed rockbox (following all the steps correctly) and exactly to the installation guide on my 2g mini, with Loader 2 installed as well. When I select rockbox from the menu, it just shows the usb thing and exits to the loader menu. I know there is a key combo to negate usb, (that I forget) but it does it when i'm not plugged in. Would this have anything to do with my ipod battery being replaced? please help! ???

did u extract rockbox.zip onto the fat32 partition?

Unfortunately, Loader2 is not ours, so we can't really provide support for problems relating to it.

There is a bug that happens on some iPods where they always think they're plugged in, if their firmware has been modified at all (this includes extracting and then copying back the retail firmware without modifying it) which you *may* be experiencing.
