Clicks and pops on boot and shutdown

Does anyone experience pops and clicks while startup and shutdown or turning off of your ipod. I have a 5G, have tried various builds but all of them have the same problem. I have searched the forums and haven't come across this problem... :'( Is this a known bug??? It is becoming quite annoying... >:(

Still, I will not be tempted by the dark side.. that's itunes.

ya i have a similar issue on startup there is a "popping noise" This is on my 5G 1stGen ipod (since the 2nd gen video was just released).

I get a pop every once in a while on shutdown with my H10, usually if there's no sound playing at the time.

I have this pop & click every time my nano boots and shuts down.  I figure it's just the nature of the beast.  :)

I can't quite see how this is the most annoying bug in the world to be honest. I would guess this is caused as everything is initialised. I doubt it destroys your ability to listen to music anyway.

Yes, I get this happen to me too and I expect it will be removed at some point. However, I do not think it is critical by any sense of the word and I imagine that is how the developers are also treating it.
