I NEED SERIOUS HELP PLZ

hi everyone

i have a 5g 30gb ipod video. just today i turned it on but while it was turning it on (while the apple logo had coming up) the light didnt turn on and then it did but with a folder with an exclamation mark saying "www.apple.com/support/ipod" i went on the site which was completely unhelpful.....when i plugged it into the pc, it isnt being recognised by the pc or itunes and it says "do not disconnect" and then every minute or so, it trys to turn itself back on and then the error message come back up.

plz send any helpful comments...
im really goin crazy here so plz any1 with any help....thnx

Well, i'm new, but you might want to try using the 'reset all settings' button if you can get to it.

Please, read our posting guidelines. This was not an "Installation" question, and neither is the topic at all descriptive of your problem.

If you reset the iPod with Menu+Select, does it get far enough to show the Rockbox bootloader?

no it doesnt....it lingers on the apple logo for a long time and then the folder with a question mark appears. im not sure but i think maybe the battery got drained while in rockbox....still any help?....would trying to reinstall rockbox be a good idea or not.....any help really appreciated.....im really stressed about this.... ;(
does anyone know how i can put the ipod into force disc mode..?

Forcing disk mode is actually covered in our install instructions. From there, you should try restoring the bootpartition.bin you originally used (the uninstall part of our install instructions) and see if that resolves your problems.

hey llorean....forcing disk mode isnt working for me....it goes into disk mode but then tries to load up again while connected to the pc.....i can even see the eject usb thing in the right hand bottom corner so the pc does recognise it as a pc device but it doesnt show up on explorer or on itunes...i even tried reinstalling rockbox on it or uninstalling it but it says it cant find the device...now im really worried....plz suggest something.... im sending it off to apple in the next few days, its still under waranty..plz guyz any help????
