iPod: Slow/laggy scrolling when no song playing (or the thing is paused)

(1/1)

toolej:
Since a few weeks ago, I'm using senab's build so I wouldn't know which CVS it started at.

I'm using a 60GB iPod video, when scrolling, it generally lags badly unless a song is actually playing (if one is paused it's slow).

No idea why.!!

Anyone else have this issue?

Thanks!

SilleeString:
This has to do with the fact that rockbox isn't boosting the cpu when no music is playing, so when you're scrolling at the time, it's using less cpu power to process it, herego slower scrolling.  When music is playing the cpu is boosted so it's running at more power, and scrolling is quicker.

That said, this thread doesn't belong on this board...sorry for replying, Llorean!

What belongs in where seems pretty confusing.

Is there a way to turn this off as its kinda annoying have to play a song before it scrolls right :/

Not at all.  Just read the sticky post at the top of each forum and it describes exactly what the forum is for.

I've moved this thread to the User Interface forum.

Answering a question that's posted in the wrong board is fine. I'm okay with people actually being helpful. The topic will get moved eventually. As long as someone brings up that the topic's in the wrong place.
