Problem with text viewer
« on: September 13, 2006, 03:37:20 AM »
Hello I have a problem with the text viewer plugin. I tried to save the manual pages as text with firefox and tried to display them in RockBox. But the display stops in the middle of the 2nd line.

I copied chapters of books from a firefox page to a txt file on my pc, then I transfered the complete txt file, (book), to my player (root directory), i open the book directly without going to the plugins, i can page down etc...

What if you save the pages with File -> Save Page As and then choose Text Files?
I think it could be a problem with the encoding, but i don't know.

well, i dont know much about html and web page content, but if you elect to "save all" as a txt file, perhaps there is some of the web page which is stored which creates prolems, thats why I highlight the txt that I want to copy, and I haven't had any problems using my method.
