brickmania: 2/3 screen on 5G

I'm not sure if this is just the way brickmania is on the 5G iPod, but the plugin shows the full title page, I press Start, and then the brick formation only covers about 2/3 the screen, but the ball can go into the other 1/3 of the screen that's just black space.

Is everyone else's rockbox like this?

It's not just your iPod. It's the fact that there are still glitches with most things in rockbox. And you're basically just going to have to deal with it until someone else finds/makes a fix, or fix it yourself; not to be rude or anything.

a quick fix is to redefine LCD_WIDTH and LCD_HEIGHT at the top of the brickmania code to match one of the smaller screens.
(the true fix would be to scale all the bitmaps for the 5G's bigger screen ... anyone have the source files for those bitmaps btw ?)

I seem to recall that someone attempted to make some new bitmaps for the game some months ago.  But I'm not sure what became of that effort.  Searching doesn't turn anything up for me -- must be due to the forum change.

It was Midkay actually...the threads really don't have much value to bring back though...just a do you like this version or this version thing...and from his screenshots in there, it looks like it covered the whole 5g screen.  Not sure what could have happened (if anything) to change it to 2/3rds of the screen.

That's right.  So, apparently those changes never got committed -- or else they got reverted back to the wrong bitmaps accidentally?

Alright, so quite clearly #2 is the winner. Rescaling them correctly for different LCD sizes will be a bit harder than I hoped, due to aspect ratio differences.. still, I'll do it soon.

However, next time I see Midkay, I will ask him what he did with them.
