Rockboy not functioning by default?

(1/1)

fr0zt:
Hi, I have just installed Rockbox on my 2g Ipod mini, however when I try to run a .gb file, nothing happens. I'm just wondering if I need to somehow activate Rockboy or install it seperately. Thanks

Edit: After looking through the viewers.config file, I found no line that took the .gb extension. I added the following line:
gb,viewers/rockboy, 0C 2A 59 7A 2E 0C
Now I can click on .gb files, but it says "cannot open rockboy". I have looked through these forums and have found that this question gets asked a lot, but I cannot seem to find an answer to it. Thans again

Llorean:
You can't "install" Rockboy. It either comes with your build, or it doesn't, so I have no idea what you're saying you did.

Sorry, I was editing my post while you were responding. Does the new information I've posted shed any more light on the situation?

btw, I'm using rockbox-ipodmini2g-20060910

Edit: That was I typo in my first post, just corrected it.

bluebrother:
Rockboy doesn't work on the ipod mini yet. Just look at the manual, as it isn't available on that player the manual hasn't anything about it included.

Feel free to adjust rockboy for the mini and submit a patch ;-)
