The Aardvark skins do not have peak meters.
What codec and bitrates are your files encoded at?  I only experience skipping when scrolling through lists on my 5G ipod, w/o software EQ, and with crossfeed.
What other setting do you have enabled?
What are you doing when skipping occurs?

i mostly use mp3 at 128 kbps and it usually happens when im scrolling through my songs or something and i dont think i have anyother settings enabled and im using a video ipod 60gb

This information would have been useful in your first post.

Rockbox is not optimized enough yet to not skip when scrolling.  You have 3 options right now:

1) Scroll slower.  Much slower.
2) Live with it.
3) Join the coding team and fix it.

Most of use choose option #2.

Do you happen to know if this is something that's being "actively" persued by anybody?  I'm currently taking the "Just live with it" approach, but it's frustrating, so I'm curious if the fix is "in the works," or if it's just something that "may" get fixed at some point in the future.
