iPod mini 2nd Gen: no music from daily build
« on: September 08, 2006, 09:53:01 PM »
Hi, the more recent daily builds for the iPod Mini 2nd Gen aren't playing music at all (for me at least).  What happens is you get a few seconds of silence and then a blast of white noise then silence again etc...  I checked it with ogg and mp3 files and they had the same result.

I don't have the skills to work out what is going wrong but, for those who do, I went through a bunch of daily builds and whatever is causing it seems to have happened in the transition from 08-30 (works fine) to 08-31 (no music playback).

I'll test it in a sec.

EDIT: Works perfectly like before. You can search the bug from your mini.

In case anyone else has this problem - it took a while but I just realised that what I was doing wrong was just clicking and dragging rockbox.ipod to copy it onto my ipod (I use a mac) - I had forgotten that you need to do it in the terminal so it gets the hidden files too.  oops!  The daily build now works perfectly.
