avi support in Iriver h340?

since i got this, i am happy. but i cannot play avi files like i used to.
can u take it out of the original firmware and put it here or it is not legal?
will it be able to play in the future? let me know. thanks.

Video support is in relatively early stages of development.  You can find more information here:

Why not? You can still boot into the iRiver Firmware by holding down 'Record' as you turn the player on ...
