my nano is dead...

Asterios:
I'm afraid that the fix won't be so simple. I did try what you suggest and many other things, but it's all the same - total lack of reaction.

Llorean:
If actually turning hold off, then on again, then holding Menu+Select for 30 seconds, and repeating several times (and I literally mean 30 seconds) doesn't work, then your iPod has suffered some form of hardware failure.

Asterios:
OMG, IT'S ALIVEEEE !!1!

I tried to reset it again and it came back to life! That really didn't work before.

Interesting that battery is almost dry. I think it was hooked in some kind of loop or was waiting for something, but when battery run low he finally snapped out of it.

Anyway, I'm happy. I almost ordered a new player today, thank god for slow bank transfers!

headworm:
Mine is doing exactly the same, will report back here once it has run flat.

headworm:
Just tried to reset it after letting it sit for maybe 15 - 20 minutes. The screen flickered and then thats it. But at least it shows SOME sign of life. Will let it sit longer and try later.
