Mine is dead too.

Worked good enough for some time, then yesterday as usual I plugged it in USB and didn't pay much attention, after Rockbox detected USB connection, after some time I noticed that iPod doesn't show up on my PC, glanced at the iPods screen and there was Apple logo, pressed some buttons - nothing happens, disconnected from USB - nothing, [Menu] + - iPod turns off. Now it won't turn on no matter what I do, tried to reset it again, tried to charge it, hit it, did the voodoo dance - nothing helps. PC doesn't detect it either.

Ideas? I think I'll send it to ipodpartsonline.com.

How long did you charge it?

Hi, Febs. I charged it for a few hours and battery was almost full anyway.

Febs:
Flip the hold switch on and then off again, and then try the reboot sequence again (Menu and Select).
