it's been a few months so i've decided to revive my dead wps.

mainly in part to all the people pm-ing me about it
i love the enthusiasm in my project. thanks people.

main changes are mainly the rpt/hold/cbr/vbr icons. also the foreground color.

any suggestions are awesomely welcome.

as per soaps recommendation, i changed the wps back to better displayed the currently playing track. i might do it with the rest of the text, i haven't decided yet.

Though I understand your attachment to the background, I personally think it makes the text hard to read.
Perhaps a subtle darkening of the area of the backdrop on which text is to be overlaid would increase contrast ratio while not detracting from the image.



Here is a quick and rough example I did trying to demonstrate my idea on the current track part.

i like it. i'll try that in the next up load. it shouldn't interfere much with the length bar. you can't see the length bar in the pic but it like a "transparent" overlay. not transparent at all but a little trick to make it seem like it is.

I agree, darkening in the text areas is probably the best way to go, or perhaps the layer that the text is on could be more opaque (but still translucent).
