battery life statistics for rockbox vs. iaudio?
sparker:
Has anyone noticed an appreciable difference in battery life when using Rockbox vs. using iAudio's firmware? Its hard for me to judge, but it feels like Rockbox is draining ALOT quicker.

Bloody_Sorcerer:
rockbox certainly gets less battery life than OF by at least 10 hours. i usually run around 15 hours a charge under rockbox.
EDIT: on an X5L
volt:
Three days of testing on my iAudio x5 60gb (playing 192kbps MP3 with 20 seconds total LCD backlight per songchange with 5.5 min avg song length) showed that the battery life was about 13.5 to 14 hours off of a full charge.

I thought that battery problems were resolved with latest CVS activity.
I don't own an iaudio so I am not sure. It would be good to see a real battery benchmark using the Rockbox plugin.

It's terrible.
With RockBox I have 5 hours life.
I am using a special version with album art which seem to be more consuming than the 'official' version of rockbox. Album art version keeps scrolling text and seem to do so even when backlight is off.
Any suggestions are welcome...
