(iPod 5G) Why does one have to re-select Hardware EQ on every start-up?
Atheistic Freedom:
I got a feeling it's because it's like a chip switch of sorts. It's directly hitting up the Hardware or wtv (sorry for my lack of direct lingo) and when you shut it down, Rockbox can't hold that switch because it's a direct tap into the Hardware, and thus that's why even though Rockbox shows it being on, one needs to re-select the affermative option to get it going again.
Thanks for hearing my guess out.

As I read this I was all like wtf is he talking about ...... but I just realized you're right. Huh.
Llorean:
I'd wager more it's because the setting simply isn't saved yet. You do realize that even if the hardware reset each time Rockbox booted, Rockbox *could* just remember what it was, and set it back immediately after loading and before it plays anything. A bug should be filed on this.
Atheistic Freedom:
lol thanks guys, and yes I have been wanting to file a bug on it and it's property to heavily distort on some songs (w/o proper balancing with the regular EQ), but never got around to it because no matter when I sign up to register for bug tracking, I get told I can't sign up due to an error making my final check in confirmation.
Annoying, really...been trying for two weeks now.
TIA for whoever has the heart to do it for me.
Llorean:
I've asked you on TWO other threads already to actually post the exact error message so maybe we can get it resolved. But you never have actually *responded* when I've asked you about the specific problem you're having on Flyspray.
As for distortion when it's not properly balanced with the soft EQ, that's likely not a bug. Overuse of EQs is really likely to distort music if you're not careful with it.
