(1/1)

metjet2:
i dont know if theres any other threads about this but im using the 4g grayscale ipod and it does not reconize the songs that i bought...and theres over 500 songs so it will be a pain in the ass to convert all of them. am i missing somthing?

lachlan:
What format are these songs in? Are they DRM'd .wma or bought through iTunes? As it stands, I don't think RockBox will ever support songs purchased through iTunes. However, if they are .wma there is (some) hope. There are programs available now that can strip the DRM from .wma's and make them playable on any device that can play wma's. Although Rockbox does not currently support .wma, there will hopefully be support for it in the future.

metjet2:
yeah they are m4p files..damn that sucks im sure theres a way to suport it if i tunes can then rockbox might be able to come up with something

Yotto:
iTunes and the Apple iPod software can read it because it's THEIR FORMAT.

I would be shocked if Rockbox could EVER read those files.  Period.

That's the price (besides the $.99) you paid when you bought the music in a propriatary format.

saratoga:
When you bought that crap you basically agreed to never use anything but Apple or MS approved software.

Fortunately hacks were released this week for both MS and Apple's DRM format, so if you act before they're patched, you should be able to remove the DRM.
