The best we can do is 20 bits 44.1kHz, due to hardware limitations.
(playback, that is)
...if I have got an A/D converter that converts to 44khz and with 16 bit then thats whats are being recorded as well on the H120. If I just got 22.5 khz and 8 bit than thats what recorded and so on?
That one...up to 16bits / 96khz.
This must have been asked a thousand times, but I'm still a bit confused.
As I understand it the iRiver follows the samplerate of the source (up to 96kHz) when recording optical.
And right now we have a maximum of 16 bits.
But would it actually be possible to record 20 bits if someone worked on that part a bit?
This answer to this would mean a lot to me.
