Hebrew support
yniq:
Hi,
For those of you who use Hebrew on their player:
I would like to install rockbox on my iAudio X5, but before that, I have some questions about Hebrew compatibility.
1. Can I see Hebrew filenames while browsing? Is it written backwards?
2. Choosing Hebrew coding changes also the menus? (I want to keep the menus in English).
3. Are there any issues regarding Hebrew compatibility at all?
Thank you very much! :)

You can see them if you select one of the fonts with hebrew support.

Yes, the text is displayed right-to-left

No, it will only change the default encoding for your tags (unless they are unicode already). To change the menus you would have to select a language file.

Two problems are that text is always left alligned and scolling text always moves to the left.

Thanks! but I'm not sure about your answer - by "backwards" I ment that the hebrew letters are displayed backwards, i.e. "hebrew" will be displayed as "werbeh", and not anything related to alignment.

right-to-left is what you call 'backwards'

Here you can see which of our fonts have hebrew support:

Also the Hebrew-* fonts will work
RaeNye:
Hebrew support is complete, i.e., the hebrew chars appear in the right order for reading without reversing the filenames manually.
There's still minor RTL things, e.g., scroll direction and menu alignment, but these are negligible.
