I have noticed for a while now that the "Move" action in reordering the currently running playlist acts inconsistently and in my opinion unintuitively.
If I have songs ordered like this, and I am playing Track 3.
Track 1
Track 2
>Track 3
Track 4
Track 5
Example 1. Moving Track 1 and postitioning the cursor so Track 4 is highlighted and select it the following happens.
Track 2
>Track 3
Track 1
Track 4
Track 5
So Track 1 replaces Track 4 and pushes it down.
Example 2. Moving Track 1 and postitioning the cursor so Track 5 is highlighted and select it the following happens.
Track 2
>Track 3
Track 4
Track 5
Track 1
So Track 1 does not replace Track 5 but pushes it up.
Example 3. Moving Track 3 and postitioning the cursor so Track 2 is highlighted and select it the following happens.
Track 2
Track 1
Track 5
Track 4
>Track 3
So Track 3 does not replace Track 2 at top of the list but gets put at the bottom of the list.
I think that the behaviour should be consistent across the board so that when you press select the currently highlighted track gets put underneath the track that is being moved. Like Example 1. This should also work if the track highlighted is at the top or bottom of the list.
Should I file a bug report, or is there a reason playlist ordering acts this way?
