problems uninstalling Rockbox

Hi, I recently installed rockbox but I decided it wasn't for me and followed the uninstallation instructions provided on the rockbox site - i.e. delete the rockbox.iriver file and reboot and then the iriver firmware should automatically load.

However, when i do this and reboot, I get an error message on screen saying loading firmware, result - 1 and it shutsdown. I am aware that this error message is about rockbox.iriver file not being present, but the uninstallation instructions say this is the way to delete rockbox and let Iriver firmware run again,
Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

Did you also reflash your player with an original iRiver hex file? That will eliminate the Rockbox bootloader so that the player does not look for and try to load Rockbox when you turn the player on.

And you'll also want to delete the .rockbox folder--you won't need it anymore.

you can only upgrade the .hex file though the iriver firmware menu options and the Iriver firmware will not boot.

Presumably you have an H300, since the H100 series *will* boot into the iriver firmware if the rockbox.iriver file is removed.

You should be able to boot into the iriver firmware by holding the record button as you turn the player on.  You can re-flash your player from there.

I recommend leaving the bootloader on your player for the reasons explained in the installation instructions, but that of course is up to you.
