Oh, yeah, I already unzipped it, but that's the folder name my stuffit gave it. I'm using a mac os 10.3.9.  Should these items be in a folder simply named rockbox? thanks again for helping.

Chronon:
no.  They go directly into the root.  In other words the base level of your FAT32 partition should contain "rockbox.ipod" and a ".rockbox" folder.
