Settings for best battery performance for blind user

Can someone please recommend the best setting for the above.

Please remember that voice settings are all set to on so file browsing will involve disk access to play the talk file for each track.

The unit itself is a H120

you should use a quite long disc idle off time so that the disc keeps spinning during selection of songs. I would suggest 1 minute.
But you should definitely set disc poweroff to on. This saves a lot.

use dir cache, even though it won't do much effect.

backlight = off (won't be needed at all)

minimalistic wps without peakmeter and without scrolling lines.

anti-skip buffer between 20 sec and 1 min.

I think these are all the settings that have an influence on runtime.

I would say the anti-skip buffer should be at the default. I'm not certain why you would ever set it higher unless you were already experiencing problems in that area.

As for dircache, there's no practical reason to use it if you have to spin the disk up on navigation anyway, so enabling it just takes that RAM away from the plugin buffer for no gain.

and I would go so far as to say that if you want to get every ounce of power out of it, you might as well edit a wps to include nothing but the artist/album/track [for if someone else wants to look at it] ... as in, get rid of any scrolling lines/clocks/progress bars/track-time indicators, etc.
