Help needed for ipod video!

(1/2) > >>

jdimitri:
Well, i just did everything the manual said, it just comes up with
' connect to your computer. use iTunes to restore'
Help?

Llorean:
Does it show any of the Rockbox bootloader stuff first?

Also, what exactly does it say, as I've not seen a screen that says "Use iTunes to restore" ever?

jdimitri:
Nah, it just comes up with the normal apple logo, then
Connect to your computer.
Use itunes to restore.
And then there's the same thing in many languages..
I tried deleting the rockbox.ipod file, it wouldn't even load up the normal firmware  ???
Oh man, am i worried...

Llorean:
This means that you did not follow the installation instructions correctly.

If you kept the original bootpartition.bin file, you can use ipodpatcher -w N bootpartition.bin to write it back to your iPod and start over.

Cho03:
I got the "use itunes to restore" screen one time. My iPod was f*cked after that. I had to get a replacement, which wouldnt charge. Now I'm waiting for a replacement for that. Almost 2 weeks I've been without my iPod. I've gone beyond crazy.
