That's too bad - your patches sound awesome and I'd love to use them for Iaudio X5 WPS's, especially the multi-font patch.  Would it be too difficult to make these patches work across platforms?

The multifont patch works for any kind of device, only the customline.patch is lcd16bit dependent, but it shouldn't be so hard to get it to work on other platforms too.

Hi there,

First off, very nice job on the theme!  Looks very very cool :)

Second, I had a quick question.  While listening to music on my ipod (60 gig 5G) with your WPS loaded and using the Senab jbuild, I encountered a problem.  The music would suddenly turn into a high-pitched "static" noise (which could only be heard through my headphones and not through the Piezo speakers..), and the only remedy to this issue was to do a reset (Play + Menu).  Selecting a new song, skipping the song, rewinding the song, pausing etc did not fix the issue..  Is this a hardware issue with my ipod, or is this something to be expected of when using rockbox?  Did this damage the integrity of my mp3 files that I was listening to when it happend?  I apologize for my weak English.

Thank you for your help and keep up the GREAT work!

JP

Hi JP,

Thanks for you nice words, regarding your problem, I'm not sure, did you try to use one of the original builds? you know, official releases and see what happens. If you still notice the same problem it may be something strange with your mp3 file, or somthing similar, but if you don't notice it with the official builds try then with Senab's builds but not the julius ver, but the normal ver and see what happens, if still no problem, try Senab's builds the "julius" ver and see if it happens or not.

One note please, please ask the build related questions in the right thread, for e.g.:
Senab's build related questions/comments should go here:
http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=4342.0
and questions related to my builds "jbuild" should go here:
http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=4417.0

Hope this helps,
Julius

Thanks Julius!

So wait, I can use this WPS with the official CVS?  I thought I had to use a "patched" version?  Im going to try a different WPS altogether with the CVS and see if the issue comes up again.  I am hoping that the problem was only the decoder having some issues and not a problem with the hardware itself.. Just a guess but if anyone can share their knowledge, I'd appreciate it.

My wps-es do need the unofficial builds (jbuild or Senab's builds) but just for testing purpose try it with the official build even if the wps wont be shown as they should.
Julius

ps: please place your result in the correct thread:
Senab's builds: http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=4342.0
jBuild: http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=4417.0

What theme do you use? did you try with a different theme and see if it happens? if it happens then its almost sure that it is a build related problem, if it only happens with my themes (jClix, jBlackGlass and son on), please tell me so otherwise we should investigate the build but please don't forget to post your comments in the right threads.

Thanks guys for your feedbacks, btw, I never noticed this problem.

Does it happen with an official build? or if you choose an other theme?

Hi Guys,

New themes are up with the new Album Art tag, so they should work now:

Cheers,
Julius

ps: don't forget to use Senab's builds because my builds (jbuild) don't have the album art patch
