Hi Doug,

--- Quote from: Sweet Spot on October 17, 2006, 11:29:42 AM ---1) When the offical builds are updated, do you guys choose specific ones to work with for YOUR updated builds ? I'm only assuming you do, because as certain builds may have little bugs here and there, when the fixes are presented, they'd most likely present good builds for you guys to work with, no ? OR is the official daily build totally redundant for your tasks ?

--- End quote ---

I'm not sure about the others, but I think most of us use the daily builds to make the custom builds. For e.g. here is how I do it:
1: I download the latest source from cvs for e.g. today 2006-10-17
2: I apply the patches to the source
3: I build the custom builds
4: I upload to the server and there you go :)

--- Quote from: Sweet Spot on October 17, 2006, 11:29:42 AM ---2) When was the last time you guys updated one of your patched builds ?

--- End quote ---

Senab is now at college, so he doesn't have the time to make new builds every week as he did before, but he said he will try to find some free time and make some new builds time to time.

I'm not at college, but I have a lot of work to do in my job, but anyway, as I said on the jbuild thread I will try to make a new build every month or so.

Now to the build naming, I always date my builds to the one I used for checking out the cvs source tree from the rockbox server, so for e.g. if I downlod the source code today 2006-10-17 I will name my builds after this date (jbuild-20061017) so you guys know how fresh the build is.

Did the answers please you Doug?  ;)
Cheers,
julius

Sir Julius, I couldn't be more pleased if I had a harum of beautiful exotic women fanning and feeding me in nothing but some skimpy cotton panties !

Wait..... erm,  how about just a simple, "thank you very much" ? Cuz that last one, that's GOT to be pretty damned pleasing eh ?  ;D

Best,
Doug

Kratos:
another thing
firstly, thank-you for your AMAZING themes that you're created (namely jblackglass and jclix)

now for the question:
your patches don't seem to compile with the latest CVS builds, are you planning on updating your patches, or should I attempt to do that...

Hi Kratos,

As i said on the jbuild thread, I plan to make new releases this week or weekend, so that also means that the patches will be synched with the cvs too because otherwise I wouldn't be able to do the builds, would i?  ;) but I don't mind if you synch them before me  ;D

Cheers,
Julius

iPodFoo:
Managed to successfully use all of Julius patches on an old version of the rockbox source (rockbox-daily-20060930). But I get a make error now, says:

--- Quote ---CC drivers/lcd-16bit.c
drivers/lcd-16bit.c: In function `lcd_putsxyofs':
drivers/lcd-16bit.c:753: error: too few arguments to function `font_get_bits'
make[1]: *** [/home/user/rockbox-devel/nano_sim/firmware/drivers/lcd-16bit.o] Error 1
make: *** [all] Error 2
--- End quote ---

Im using Debian on an XP PC. Any ideas why? I want to make a Nano sim so I can go about converting the JClix to the Nano.
