jClix ipod5g theme
Landus:
About a month ago, I tried making my own build with the audioscrobbler patch and the patches need to use this theme which was met with several compiling errors.
I gave it awhile to have most of the bugs sorted out. Now, I'd like to try using this theme again.
Is there an order I have to apply the patches like last time, or no?

Hi Guys,
Sorry for being away for this long (again) but anyway, here are some of the answers I have:
Sweet Spot
I'm in Transilvania but my mother language is Hungarian, so I know Hungarian, Romanian because I have to :) and English and German because I want to :), but I was more than a few times in Hungary especially in Budapest, but I think too that the Tokaj Mountains is one of the best places.

Thanks for the feedback on the tracker, I will have a look into it as soon as possible.

I see bascule helped you out with the scrolling thing, so I hope everything is ok now, btw, thanks bascule for your help!

You don't need my source code, you need the official one from here:
http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/UsingCVS#Downloading_checking_out_the_sou
and after having it you have to start applying the patches found here:
http://pijulius.com/julius/rockbox/patches/
Regarding your cygwin problem, you should have a look on the Rockbox's install instructions, those should help you out.
MrMEC
Congratilation to your X5 port, I like it a lot too, thanks for posting it here!
Landus
Yeah, there is an order to apply the patches, the order is the same way as the patches are named, so starting from 01-09
Thanks guys for all your feedbacks/comments/ports/ideas, I hope you still enjoy the themes :)
Cheers,
Julius

Just checking in to see if there have been any updates lately. On Senabs site it says that he usually updates his builds every week, but the last one done was a couple weeks ago, or a few. Also, this may sound like a stupid question but, is the actual ROCKbox daily build needed first, or can thie patched build be installed independently ? I ask because, audio playback for me is a bit buggy at times, and I'm wondering if just updating to the latest RB daily build would solve that, along with re-installing the patched build over it.
My assumption is that the patched build only adds to the daily RB build, rather than overwrite the entire thing, though it's only an assumption of course.

Hi Doug,
First I (and maybe we) didn't know about the "make zip" feature on the source code, so you had to have the daily builds first and then you had to overwrite the files from the custombuilds, but now all the custom builds should have the same content as the official ones have, so you shouldn't have to download the daily builds first and then overwrite the files, it is enough the download only the custom builds and copy them on your ipod.
NOTE: the only thing that is not in the daily builds, so it is not in the custom builds are the fonts, so you have to download the daily fonts package to have all the fonts you usually have.
I hope this answers your question.
Cheers,
Julius
Sweet Spot:
Yes, that partially answers my question, not that I made it seem as if it was a multi-part question though. ;) Then the other question I have is:
1) When the offical builds are updated, do you guys choose specific ones to work with for YOUR updated builds ? I'm only assuming you do, because as certain builds may have little bugs here and there, when the fixes are presented, they'd most likely present good builds for you guys to work with, no ? OR is the official daily build totally redundant for your tasks ?
2) When was the last time you guys updated one of your patched builds ?
Take care,
Doug
edit: #) what exactly is the "make zip" feature ?
