Docking Station Problem

I have an Ipod 30g video. I love all the features on Rock Box, but I am experiencing a major problem. When I put it on the docking staion that is hooked up to my home theater It constantly reboots and I cannot play my music through my sound system anymore. I did read about  the charging problems and setting it back to apple's firmware for the charging, but when it is on the docking station it is always charging. Is there a fix for this that I over looked? Thanks in advance for any help.

read the manual.

hold down 'menu' while plugging it in.
