Help please....

Ok, i just installed rockbox on my ipod 4gb mini.

Now when i turn it on it either freezes on the apple ipod screen or repeatively turn itself on and off and show the apple logo.  When i plug it into my computer to reset it to factory settings my computer doesnt recognize it.  I followed the instructions and installation steps very closely.  How can i fix?

It shows nothing other than the Apple logo ever?

You've tried manually booting it into the emergency disk mode?

Yes it only shows the logo.  And how do i do an emergency boot?  ive tried restarting my ipod, same problem.

Did you read the "Recovering from a Crash" section of the install page?

Okay, i toggled with it a bit and then windows recognized it so i reformatted it and restored it to factory settings.  I'm going to attempt again but now using g2 ipod mini one instead of g2 ipod firmware.

Ill let you know how it goes.

I installed the g2 software and it worked thanks guys.
