Nano Wont boot iPod FW- keeps cycling
(1/1)
mildgold:
Hey guys I've just installed rockbox onto a nano, it works great no problems with it except that when trying to reboot into the original iPod firmware it doesnt work-
what happens is it displays the "now loading original firmware" but it doesnt load it, it just starts over and keeps displaying that then starts over til i let go of MENU which makes it load rockbox again--
ive tried a different build and then i tried deleting the rockbox folders to see if it would load up the original- when i did that it did the same thing as above except with no rockbox to boot it just kepts cycling til i forced disk mode
any ideas how i can restore my ipods original fw and make this work? at this point i just want the original firmware back
L:
You can simply use the Ipod firmware updater and restore it to factory settings.
As to why it happens, I believe you missed some steps during installation.
What error did it produce? It may be a split second screen but take note of it.
