LCD remote display for H-120

Hi,
I am new to this forum so I apologize as I am sure this has been discussed.  I did a search, but couldn't find an answer.

I am having a problem with my remote display.  The backlight comes on , but the screen remains "blank" after start up and selecting a playlist.  I am able to navigate with the buttons without a problem.  

I booted the original fw to see if it was an issue with the reomte itself, and it worked fine.  I had full functionality and the screen display was fine.  I re-booted Rockbox and had the same problem.  

Is there a specific build or patch that I need in order to enable this?  Thanks in advance.

Try and change the contrast settings for Remote-LCD (you can do this on the main unit).

(oh, and, could I please have a base clef as avatar?   )

This sounds almost certainly like the contrast has got messed up somehow (I had it myself not long ago).

Ok...I feel like an idiot...

I thought I had tried everything and lo and behold....it is the most SIMPLE thing I could have tried.
