apple copying trouble
« on: August 26, 2006, 11:47:25 AM »
Every time I try to copy files from my ipod to my computer the ipod quickly disconnects and then reconnects, causing the copying to cease.  Is this being caused by rockbox or is it just something else?

Rockbox uses the iPod's disk mode, so the issue is likely with your computer, your iPod or your cable.  Try a different USB port.  If you can, try a different cable.  If you haven't already done so, try resetting the computer.

I am going to move this thread to the Hardware forum as this problem appears to be iPod specific and not related to Rockbox's general operation.

Try doing it in the Apple firmware instead of through diskmode.
