Help With 30gb iPod Install (Last part of installation errors)
(1/1)
Gremlin Gizmo:
Hi there,
I'm trying to install Rockbox onto my 30gb iPod video but am running into an error towards the end. I'm using a Mac so had to convert it over to Fat32 first. I used the instructions in the Rockbox documentation and it seemed to go fine. As did the rest of the install, with no errors reported, until I reach the last part of dumping the rockboot.bin onto my iPod. I copied the error message I got and have pasted it below in case it can help show what's going wrong.

If anyone could help shed any light on what is going on I'd really appreciate it as I'd love to use Rockbox if possible :)
sharpe:
Well, my best guess is that you've a corrupt partition table, that was probably
corrupted in some way while you were converting your iPod to FAT32.
My advice would be that you should restore your iPod,
by way of Apple's iPod Updater, and try again to convert it to FAT32.
Gremlin Gizmo:
Thanks for the help, managed to get it working ;D
