in the player its named "elephantsdream-q8-224x128-274kbps.mpeg"...just the extension is changed from m2v to mpeg..........and yaa there is the same code in the last corner of notepad,...

See, you changed the extension. Nobody told you to do that. We told you to just download the file. This is why it's not working.

i didnt changed....when i donwload it was downloaded with the mpeg extension ....so do i need to download and save as m2v?....can i just rename it after downloading it?

You can just rename after downloading it. You shouldn't allow your browser to rename your files.

i renamed to m2v but after that it writes elephantsdream-q8-224x128-274kbps.m2v.mpeg...how do i cut the mpeg out....?

Disable the windows option to hide extensions of known filetypes. Google that if you're not sure how.

Here's how: select tools from the menu in any 'My computer' window, then select 'folder options...'. in the resulting dialogue box, select the 'view' tab, and decheck the 'hide extention for known filetypes'.
